Before Your Appointment
Be sure to set aside at least two hours for your appointment. To ensure the very best results, please follow these important guidelines:
Please do not wear any make up to your appointment. ESPECIALLY DO NOT WEAR ANY EYE MAKE UP OR MASCARA!. Your lashes will not stick and will fall off in a few days. It takes time away from lash application when we have to remove it for you and it is best if you remove it in before you come in.
• Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment - just wear your normal eyeglasses.
• Do not get your eyelashes wet for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to completely dry.
• Avoid hot steam from the shower and sauna for 2 days.
• Be very gentle with your eyelashes.
• Do not rub your eyes excessively.
• Do not use an eyelash curler!.
• Do not use any oil-based eye makeup remover.
• Mascara will not be necessary with your beautiful new eyelashes, but if you really want to apply
mascara, just apply to the tips only - do not apply mascara near the base of the eyelash.
• Do not use waterproof mascara.
• Do not go to the sauna, steam room, or hot spring frequently. The heat may cause the bonds to weaken.
• Depending on your own natural eyelash growth cycle and how well you follow these after care
instructions, you will probably need a touch-up every 3 weeks. Those who have a faster eyelash
growth cycle may need a touch-up sooner, while those with a slower eyelash growth cycle may not
need a touch-up as often. The longer the lashes, the more care they require....but who could resist?
FAQ about Lotus's beautiful eyelashes
What are Shavasana Eyelash Extensions™?
A ridiculously addictive service that accentuates the beauty of your eyes and makes you completely irresistible! This is a semi-permanent procedure, where we adhere an individual synthetic lash to each individual lash of the eye. The result is a natural extension to your lashes that will last the full length of the natural lash cycle.
What makes Shavasana Eyelash Extensions™ at Lotus different from other eyelash extensions?
First, Shavasana makes hands down the best eyelash product on the market. These are not the cheap plastic ones other salons are buying on eBay! The technology, quality and attention to customer service makes Shavasana the ONLY eyelash company we have used for the past 4 years! Our technique is also different, not simply lying lashes on top of lashes. We isolate one lash at a time, working on every row of lashes of your eye to ensure a natural and beautiful extension to your lashes that is unique to you! Very customizable!
How long will they last?
When cared for properly, extensions will last for the full cycle of your lashes. The life cycle of a natural lash is the amount of time it takes for a natural lash to grow in, and fall out. The average cycle is 60 days. We recommend touch-up appointments every 2-3 weeks, to fill in the areas where the natural lashes has fallen out and new lashes are growing in. After the 4th week, cost goes back up to a full application due to quantity of product needed.
Who cannot have eyelash extensions applied?
An individual with any allergy to adhesives, an individual who has undergone chemotherapy over the last six months, or an individual who does not have natural eyelashes may not have eyelash extensions applied.
What can I expect when getting lashes applied?
The eye area is prepped and taped for application. Individual synthetic j-curl lashes are applied one by one to each natural lash. The synthetic lash is adhered using a specially formulated extension adhesive. The adhesive is then sealed with a coating to protect the extensions from sweat, dirt, and pollution. The result is thicker, longer, voluminous lashes!
How long will the full application procedure take?
The lash extension application can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 120 minutes depending on how many lashes you have.
What does Shavasana mean?
Shavasana is our inner peace. It's a place in our mind where we are completely satisfied with the present, no thoughts of the past and no thoughts of the future. It's a state of mind-a state of mind of being you, being content with yourself within the moment. Any yoga enthusiasts out there will be familiar with the Shavasana pose in Yoga. Ironically this pose is also referred as the corpse pose. It's ironic because your client will lye in a relaxed position, almost falling asleep, with her eyes closed.....
